Data Security

We have regular independent audits for physical security and the security of information.
We have implemented high levels of security in house and outside our facility to ensure equipment and data are stored securely.

Our building is Alarmed and connected directly to the police using BT red care. We have 24 hour CCTV surveillance.
All data including operating systems is removed and overwritten using approved software to guarantee the data is permanently removed. Levels include US DOD Level and UK HMG Infosec Level 5(CESG approved).

Detailed reports will be supplied as confirmation of hard drive wiping. OCM have procedures in place for the secure destruction of information from media such as memory cards, Dat/Dlt tapes, Cd roms and sim cards. We shred or splice all non working hard drives which cannot be purged. We specifically shred hard drives such as server hard drives as requested by the customer

Hard Drive Shredding

OCM have an in house German shredding machine which has been specifically designed for the shredding of hard drives and media. The motor is designed to provide a very high cutting performance because of its enormous torque. Hourly capacity 300kg. OCM offer on site destruction if required as the machine is also portable.

All the residue shredded particles are recycled in the normal way.

Equipment is stored securely

All OCM employees are CRB checked through Experian background services.
OCM Vehicles are fitted with Qinetiq approved satellite tracking devices.

Data Services Include

ON site purging of data.
OFF Site secure data destruction, where drives are taken from site in secure locked containers and destroyed immediately upon return to our secure facility. Left over residue particles are recycled in the normal way.

ON site data shredding using our portable shredding machine.

We offer UK wide collections using our own security tracked vehicles and security vetted drivers.
