Recycling

In the 80s OCM were IT recycling Mainframe equipment when the second user market demand ceased.

Computer recycling is our final option when we have exhausted all sales markets and all re useable components have been extracted.

We have strict disposal procedures in place for the disposal of redundant computer equipment, paying serious attention to products deemed as hazardous waste such as Cathode ray tubes and lead acid batteries.

OCM issue waste transfer notes and hazardous waste transfer notes which are submitted to the environment agency quarterly. These are required when a company produce over 500kg per annum of hazardous waste. We require your company HWP number and SIC code for our paper trail. We can register you, on your behalf if required.

OCM are WEEE recycling compliant and ensure no waste to landfill.

We have regular reviews with the Environment Agency to ensure due diligence.

Last OCM site inspection by the Environment Agency 16/07/09.

OCM were one of the very first sites to become an Approved Authorised Treatment Facility (AATF status) by the Environment Agency in June 2007. OCMs AATF status confirms that the EA have authorised OCM to produce evidence to the producer compliant scheme.

OCM receive detailed reports from our recycling partner detailing the amount and type of material recycled/recovered for continued use in other products.
