Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week with our Warehouse Apprentice Nathan

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) takes place from 9 to 15 February 2026 and celebrates the positive impact apprenticeships have on individuals, employers and local communities across the UK. The week highlights how an apprenticeship can open doors, develop practical skills and support long-term career progression.

OCM is proud to support National Apprenticeship Week and to recognise the contribution apprentices make to our business. One of those is Nathan Greaves, our Warehouse Apprentice, who has become a valued member of the team.

Meet Nathan learning on the job

Nathan joined OCM as a Warehouse Apprentice and plays an active role in the day-to-day running of the warehouse. His responsibilities include supporting the safe handling, storage and preparation of redundant IT equipment, directly supporting OCM’s secure IT disposal.

Alongside his role at OCM, Nathan completes his apprenticeship with Nova Training, combining structured learning with practical workplace experience. This approach allows him to build industry-relevant skills while working towards a recognised qualification.

Nathan says:

“Working at OCM as a Warehouse Apprentice has been brilliant. I’ve learnt so much already about how everything works behind the scenes and the team have made me feel supported every step of the way. I’m looking forward to taking on more responsibilities and being part of National Apprenticeship Week.”

A view to awards and wider engagement

Nathan’s development has been supported closely by the warehouse team, including Team Leader Dave Lee.

“Nathan’s enthusiasm and willingness to learn have really stood out. Apprenticeships are vital for developing future talent and Nathan has quickly become a valued part of the warehouse team. We’re proud to support his progress and to be looking ahead to opportunities such as the Worcestershire Apprenticeships Annual Apprenticeship Awards in 2026.”
