OCM’s role in giving back
OCM are committed to not only providing reliable and sustainable IT lifecycle management but also to making a positive impact within communities. Through our work with local charities and nationwide causes, we believe in the power of collaboration and giving back. One example is our ongoing partnership with Sanctuary to provide tech support to Basildon Parents4Parents.
A “match” made in charitable collaboration
One of the many ways Sanctuary supports their charity partners is through the Match My Project platform. This initiative encourages collaboration between suppliers, contractors and charities to maximise the positive impact each can have on communities. OCM is proud to be a part of this effort. We have recently donated three iPads to Basildon Parents4Parents. These devices are essential in helping the charity streamline their communications and improve their services for families in need.
As a company dedicated to promoting sustainability and responsible IT management, we’re pleased to see our contributions enhancing the reach of important services. The donation of these iPads will allow Basildon Parents4Parents to better manage their operations. Not only that, they can now improve internal communications and continue offering their valuable services with greater efficiency.
About Basildon Parents4Parents
Basildon Parents4Parents is a remarkable local charity that plays a vital role in supporting families in the Basildon area. Their mission is to increase the confidence and independence of parents and caregivers through support, training and practical help. The charity focuses on creating a supportive environment for families. In turn, reassuring them that difficulties in raising children are not unusual, and that help is always available.
Their approach to supporting families involves a combination of group sessions, one-to-one meetings, and practical training aimed at improving health, emotional wellbeing and educational outcomes for parents and their children. By doing so, Basildon Parents4Parents helps foster resilience and a strong sense of community, providing families with the tools they need to thrive.
The iPads OCM donated will directly support the charity’s mission. According to Jackie Stein, Project Co-ordinator for Basildon Parents4Parents, the donation will be a “game changer.” Jackie shared, “This is going to help streamline our Workshop and Course Registrations and Evaluations. It will also enable us to sync up and easily access our Booking systems, enhancing our team communications.” The devices will undoubtedly make the charity’s operations more efficient, allowing them to support even more families in need.

Sustainable IT Lifecycle management for charities
OCM’s commitment goes beyond simple technology donations. As part of our sustainable IT lifecycle management services, we focus on responsible disposal, reuse and recycling of IT equipment. This ensures that our services are environmentally friendly and help reduce the tech waste that has become a growing problem worldwide.
When charities like Basildon Parents4Parents need new technology, via Sanctuary – and other partners – we’re proud to offer them not only the tools they need to succeed but also the peace of mind that comes from knowing their devices are being handled responsibly. Through upcycling, reusing and refurbishing old equipment, we extend the lifecycle of IT products while reducing environmental impact.
This ethos is central to our partnerships with organisations like Sanctuary and other charities. By offering sustainable IT solutions, we ensure that every donation, upgrade and piece of equipment serves not only the charity’s immediate needs but also contributes to long-term sustainability.
Building strong partnerships for a better tomorrow
The collaboration between OCM and Sanctuary highlights the importance of building strong, long-lasting partnerships to achieve meaningful social impact. Our work with over 250 charity partners, including Basildon Parents4Parents, is a testament to our commitment to creating positive change through technology.
By working together with our partners, we can help charities operate more efficiently, reach wider audiences, and ultimately provide better services to those who need them most. At OCM, we understand that every small contribution makes a big difference, whether it’s providing tech tools, recycling outdated devices, or offering our expertise in IT management.
