It’s a match! Tech equipment donation to Worcester Snoezelen
04/10/2024
This time, we were able to support Worcester Snoezelen, an independent charity providing multi-sensory environments for people of all ages with disabilities and additional needs. We were able to donate much-needed tech equipment, including four refurbished laptops and screens, to support their ongoing work.
Worcester Snoezelen is a place where people feel accepted and valued, with a focus on celebrating ability rather than focusing on disability. The charity offers a welcoming space where visitors can enjoy sensory rooms, hydrotherapy pools and other facilities that improve their quality of life. Their work is vital for communities across Worcestershire and neighbouring counties.
Beth Hiatt, Data and Impact Officer at Worcester Snoezelen, shared her gratitude:
“We want to extend a huge thank you to Steve and the team at OCM for kindly donating new tech equipment, including four new laptops and screens. As a small independent charity, this donation has made such a difference. The new equipment will help us continue our work supporting people of all ages with disabilities and additional needs from across Worcestershire and the surrounding counties.”
OCM’s donation is part of our ongoing commitment to helping charities manage their IT equipment needs through our Match My Project platform. This initiative connects tech suppliers with organisations that need support, ensuring that refurbished laptops and other essential tech equipment are put to good use, benefiting communities and enhancing sustainability.
Steve Turberfield, Corporate Account Manager, at OCM, said:
“Working with Worcester Snoezelen to provide the tech they need has been a rewarding experience for us. Our platform is designed to make connections like these, helping charities optimise their IT resources and focus on what they do best – supporting people in their communities. We’re delighted to have played a part in helping them continue their important work.”
Through this platform and other services like IT Lifecycle Management and asset management, OCM strive to contribute positively to both businesses and community organisations, ensuring that tech equipment is used effectively and sustainably. This match is just one of many and the team look forward to facilitating more in the future.
