Let’s talk about trees!

22/09/2023

OCM are an ITAD so you might not expect us to talk about trees. However, trees are a major feature of our company’s history. OCM was named for the home of our founder Sandy Flanagan, The Old Cider Mill. The original company logo was a tree!

Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, which helps to mitigate climate change. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas that traps heat in the atmosphere, so trees play an important role in regulating the Earth's climate. Furthermore, trees prevent soil erosion by anchoring the soil with their roots. This is important for preventing flooding and landslides. Trees provide food and shelter for a variety of animals, including birds, insects, and mammals. This is important for maintaining biodiversity.

That’s why OCM funded the planting of heritage fruit trees at Tiddesley Wood, Worcestershire and have further plans to support more planting during the autumn/winter 2023.

Similarly, OCM can use revenue generated from your IT equipment to fund trees in your name. Talk to us to see what we can achieve together.
