OCM’s ITAD process is safe, secure and thorough, meaning you have complete peace of mind when we handle your IT equipment. Whether you choose for OCM to outright purchase your assets, or you’d like to donate to charity or redeploy, we can tailor to your needs.

Whatever option you choose, you can be sure your equipment will undergo our robust, state-of-the-art data erasure solution. Your IT assets will be completely sanitised of sensitive data in accordance to strict recognised international standard regulations before it makes its onward journey.

If your IT equipment can’t be reused or resold, it will undergo our secure IT disposal and recycling process, where all waste is sorted before being sent to our licensed recycling partners. The materials are sorted by ferrous, non-ferrous metals and items that may contain persistent organic pollutants (POPs). Any items that are identified as either containing, or are suspected of containing POPs, are sent for incineration.

Fully licensed and secure IT disposal and recycling

We hold all of the relevant licences and registrations with the Environment Agency for the carrying, handling and storage of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

Our Approved Authorised Treatment Facility (AATF) partners are audited under our ISO 14001 environmental management system to ensure all licences are up-to-date and valid. OCM also pay for hazardous waste to be processed through correct regulated channels.
